Hands on Learning
Tudor House and Garden offers a variety of exciting ways to learn for all ages and interests.
We can provide a range of hands-on, practical and creative activities for schools, colleges, community groups, adult learning groups and special interest groups such as local history societies etc.
Our resources and activities are especially designed to relate to National Curriculum areas suitable for Early Years through key stages 1 – 4 and post 16, including cross-curricular workshops.
We can create tailor made sessions for any group including higher and further education students that provide access to the City’s collections and archives and opportunities to examine primary sources for information.
Resources include loan boxes, handling objects, costumes and other teaching resources and activities include tours and workshops, including outreach workshops in schools and other learning and community settings.
Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme includes arts and heritage themed INSET training for teachers, work shadowing, team building and how to create an exhibition in your school.
